Meta announced the Quest 3 at Meta Connect 2023 a few weeks ago. With a slimmer form factor, improved performance and a strong focus on mixed reality capabilities via new color passthrough cameras, a depth sensor and 30% higher resolution, the new headset is a significant upgrade from the Quest 2. With the Quest 3, Meta continues to push the XR industry forward with both great hardware and software.
Not only does the Meta Quest 3 improve on every aspect of its predecessor, but new pass-through technology opens up mixed reality experiences as well. The Quest 3 is smaller, lighter, twice as powerful, with depth sensing, upgraded haptics, and more. The device offers and impressive 2064 x 2208 pixels resolution per eye, using a pancake lens and only weighs a bit more than 500 grams.
The Meta Quest 3 will be available from October 10, and starts at €549 ($499.99 / £479.99).
At Warp VR, we are super excited by this new device, as its helps to drive more user adoption of VR technology by continuing to push it into the mainstream. This will help to introduce the wide-ranging benefits of VR to more people and companies.
We expect that using the Quest 3 in combination with VR courses made on the Warp VR platform will be even more immersive and feel even more real. With the improved resolution, trainees will feel more present playing any VR training course, resulting in an increase of engagement and better results.
