Extra battery for the camera —X4 Battery Useful for extended filming sessions as it provides additional shooting time.
Extra Micro SD card — Insta360 Memory Card Useful for extended filming sessions as it provides additional shooting time.
Lavalier microphone — Rode Lavalier II It offers the ability to hide the microphone or more easily place it in other equipment, like helmets, for example.
Charging hub — X4 Fast Charge Hub To charge the camera batteries at once.
Unpack and assemble —Remove the Ulanzi MT-79 stand and adjust it to your desired height. Remember, the setup height impacts the trainees' experience. More information on filming your first scenario here: Filming your first scenario
Attach the adapters — Place the Insta360 X4 Invisible Mic Cold Shoe on the adapter before mounting the Insta360 X4. Ensure the camera is securely fastened to prevent any movement during filming.
Setting up the stand and camera
Setting up the microphone:
Set Up the Microphone — Attach the Rode Wireless Go II receiver to the cold shoe mount on the stand.
Connect the Audio — Remove the USB port cover from the Insta360 X4. Plug the microphone adapter into the camera and connect the cable from the Rode Wireless Go II receiver to the microphone adapter on the camera. Ensure all connections are snug and secure to prevent disconnections or audio issues.

Preview and adjust — Turn on the camera and check the live feed through the Insta360 app or the camera's built-in display. Make sure that no equipment or unwanted edges are visible in the frame. Pay particular attention to the cable from the microphone system.
